Last week, the American Conference Institute (ACI), one of the industry leading organizations on educating the insurance industry, conducted its conference on Litigating Disability Insurance Claims. Jason Newfield was again invited to participate as a Speaker.
His topic, “Surveillance – A Good Idea? Can it help or hurt a Disability Claim” was well received by all in attendance. This practical topic addressed a commonly utilized insurer tool to investigate claims, and a thorough discussion of the pros, cons and potential pitfalls of utilizing surveillance occurred. It was an interactive presentation, with participation from the attendees addressing many of their own specific situations and with a candid discussion of experiences, good and bad, in utilizing surveillance.
Mr. Newfield has presented to ACI numerous times, on various claim specific and condition specific issues — and always enjoys meeting with insurance company personnel, in house and outside counsel, and the exchange of ideas with various colleagues.
Frankel & Newfield, P.C. was also the exclusive media partner of this ACI presentation.
We look forward to many more years of participating with ACI.
